Speaking at PASS Summit 2020

First of all, thank you for picking me to speak at PASS Summit again. I am honored and grateful and very appreciative of the chance to pass on knowledge to all my many peers out there in the world. And this time, it really will be out there in the world with the event going virtual!!

I will be speaking on Polybase, which is a really fascinating tool for SQL Server that could use a little more press. I’ve spoken to a few user groups on it and will be speaking to my team this week, but it will be great to speak to the Summit audience.

Have you registered? Please do so as soon as you can. It’s not going to be same as being in Houston, but it’s going to be really cool and I know the PASS people have been working their literal tails off to make it a tremendous experience.

I know we’re all going to miss seeing our SQLFamily in person, but there will still be tons of opportunities to meet and greet and socialize during AND after the event. I know there’s going to be a virtual run, a games night, and who knows what else. Hell, I might even break my diet and encourage people to share a buttermilk fritter with me! (There’s a really good place, Donut Nook, that’s at the halfway point for one of my many hill walks and I am often tempted to stop and get one. But, I know I’d feel like crap for the rest of the walk.)

But still, register. PASS needs your registration.

If you have any questions about Polybase, shoot them way ahead of time at mike@becomingamaster.com or just leave a comment on this post. I’d love to hear from you!

Peace and <3
