I don’t usually speak at my own events, but my good friend Paul Turley really wanted for us to co-present on a student based topic, showing a real world example of WHERE data lives, WHEN it arrives, HOW you access it, WHY you need it, and WHO consumes it! I leaned heavily on some of my many experiences working for multi-nationals to provide some interesting challenges. I just had to setup the game board, and then Paul takes over and shows how everything will end up in Fabric.
We’ll be speaking on the 7th of November at WSU Vancouver on the Student Track. This track has some really neat items on it, carefully crafted by our own speakers in addition to travelling, doing precons, and presenting.
Lenore Flower/Clifford Patterson – Putting yourself forward
Pat Wright – Your first day on the Data Job
Jerry Nixon – Why AI can’t do what you think it can do
You can find all of these sessions in the VMMC building with the first session starting at 10 AM PST.
Be sure to register for the event through our campaign page, and once you get to WSU, look for our volunteers wearing our very cool “roadie” t-shirts.
Hope to see you there!
