The indefatigable Steve Jones made a decision to go from the SQL Saturday brand to Day of Data. You may think it was presumptive for the Oregon group that all lives in Vancouver to claim the name for themselves, but there was a method to my madness. As we increase interest for Day of Datas in our region, the name is setup for a dash…. PNW Day of Data – VANWA, PNW Day of Data – SEA, PNW Day of Data – SPO. I’m sure we’ll deal with this desirable problem when we get there…
Either way, there are still 12 days left to submit for one of the oldest data events, and probably the oldest on the west coast. I’ll post the Sessionize link and we’re looking forward to seeing you at the event.

The SQL Train – we’ve got something special that we’re cooking up with RedGate, but I can’t quite reveal it. Regardless, there WILL be a SQL Train, and it’s going to be FUN!
And….we’re doing a precon again for the first time in a number of years!
We’ll be at Washington State University Vancouver again, working with our friends in the MIS department to have an awesome experience for everyone.
You may ask, “why is the SQL Train important?” It’s important because it’s a three hour tour with your data friends up to Seattle for PASS Summit West!!! PASS Summit West – Redgate events The train station in Seattle is not very far from the Hyatt, the new location of PASS Summit, and it’s the simplest way to get from Vancouver to Seattle.
Our general website for the event, again, courtesy of Steve Jones, is right here – PNW Day of Data 2026 (#1149)
